We can see that in this kind of graph, the dotted plots started from (8) and then went back higher but then back to (0). But as examining this, we would then already know the answer. Our answer would look like it would contain a negative symbol at the end. This would happen mainly because as we mentioned, the numbers are going back. And now that we have considered this, we would then have to see how much it would be going back.

We can see in the illustration below that the answer would most likely be (0.5) mainly because each step that it would take would be .5 of what it is.

<span>A. -0.99
B. -0.5
C. 0.5
D. 0.99
</span>
And also, this would be -0.5 because it would be going back.

Calculate the rise and run and find the slope ( (4,-7) and (4,0)
Marta_Voda [28]
Hey there! :D

Slope formula:

m= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

m= (0-(-7)/(4-4)

m=0+7/0

m=7/0

The rise is 7 and the run is 0.

I hope this helps!

A van travels from Town A to Town B. It uses 1 gallon of gas for every 24 miles traveled. A) How many gallons of gas does the va
Setler79 [48]

Answer:

A)  \frac{x}{8} gallons

B)  Distance between Town A and Town B is 48y  miles

Step-by-step explanation:

A)

We know, number of gallons = \frac{DistanceTravelled}{MilesPerGallon}

if miles per gallon (mpg) is given as 24 & total distance travelled is 3x miles, then, using formula we have:

Number of Gallons = \frac{DistanceTravelled}{MilesPerGallon}=\frac{3x}{24}=\frac{x}{8}

B)

Now, given is number of gallons = 2y & we know mpg is 24; <em>so what is the distance?</em>

We use the same formula and solve for distance (let distance between A and B be "D"):

NumberOfGallons=\frac{DistanceTravelled}{MilesPerGallon}\\2y=\frac{D}{24}\\D=2y*24\\D=48y
