Answer:

a. $20,000

Explanation:

As for the information provided,

Total shares outstanding preference cumulative in nature = 6% 10,000 shares of $100 each = 6% $1,000,000

Dividend for each year = $60,000

Equity =  20,000 shares of $1 each = $20,000

Since no dividend is paid in 2012, the preference dividend will be in arrears for 2012 = $60,000

Dividend in 2013 = Dividend to preference for 2012, and for 2013

= $60,000 + $60,000 = $120,000

Since dividend paid = $100,000

$20,000 of preference dividend for 2013 stands in arrears.

Dividend in 2014 = $100,000

This shall be first used to pay dividend in arrears = $100,000 - $20,000 = $80,000

From this first dividend to preference for 2014 will be paid = $80,000 - $60,000 = $20,000

Now this $20,000 will be paid to equity as dividend.

Beasley Industries' sales are expected to increase from $5 million in 2013 to $6 million in 2014, or by 20%. Its assets totaled
Zigmanuir [339]

Answer:

AFN  $172,000

Explanation:

To forecast the additional funds needed it's necessary to use the following equation:

AFN = A0 + S1/S0 - L0 x S1/S0 - S1 x PM x b

Where :

A0 = Current Level of Assets

S1/S0 = Percentage Increase in sales

L0 = Current Level of Liabilities

S1 = New Level of Sales

PM = Profit Margin

b= Retention rate = 1 - payout rate

Final Value

AFN = A0 ($2,000,000) + S1/S0 (0,20) - L0 ($780,000)

x S1/S0 (0,20) - S1($ 6,000,000) x PM (0,04) x b (0,30) = $172,000

The additional funds needed is the amount of money that the company must raise to increase the level of asset to support

the new level of sales.

The above equation indicate the excess increase in assets over the increase in liabilities and retained earnings as a consequence of the new level of sales.

Answer:

C. 15,650

Explanation:

Calculation for what The number of equivalent units of production for the period for conversion if the first-in, first-out method is used to cost inventories was:

First step is to calculate the Unit transferred out

Unit transferred out = 4,000+14,000-3,000

Unit transferred out = 15,000

Now let calculate Equivalent unit of conversion

Equivalent unit of conversion = (4,000*60%)+11,000+(3,000*75%)

Equivalent unit of conversion =15,650

Therefore the number of equivalent units of production for the period for conversion if the first-in, first-out method is used to cost inventories was:15,650

the median of four numbers is 63.the three of the numbers are 60,62 and 92 what is the missing number
wariber [46]

Answer: 64

Explanation:

To find the median of a number, we have to arrange the numbers that are given in either ascending or descending order.

In this case there are 4 numbers, let the fourth number be x, therefore the numbers will be:

60, 62, x and 92.

Since they are four numbers, the median will be the addition of the 2nd and 3rd number and then divided by 2. This will be:

(62 + x) / 2 = 63

62 + x = 126

x = 126 - 62

x = 64

The missing number is 64
