Shah jahan had fourteen sons of which seven survived and one among them was Dara Shikoh. He is the third surviving son ruled the Mughals till fifty years. Unfortunately, Dara faced tragic death in the hands of Aurangazeb who provoked him in the bitter struggle for succession of the throne.
