Discuss TWO post-Korean War American foreign policy crises/conflicts and consider what if any role the “Cold War Lens” had in fo
frutty [35]

The two post-Korean War American foreign policy crises/conflicts were the following:

The Cuban Missile Crisis and the US intervention in the Vietnam War.

The role the “Cold War Lens” had in forcing an American response was the permanent interest or top priority United States foreign policy of containment.

That policy of containment was implemented to stop the spread of Communism around the world.

Through the policy of containment, the United States could prevent the domino effect, and limit the expansion of Communism in different places.

Let's have in mind that during the Cold War years, the Soviet Union tried to spread Communism in different countries of the world, meanwhile, the United States tried to stop it.

The Cuban Missile Crisis and the US intervention in the Vietnam War were two international conflicts that made the US federal government intervene in order to protect its interests and contain Russia Communism.

We conclude that during the Cold War years, the US and the USSR had many differences and exchanged accusations that put the world on the brink of another world war.

That was was the case of the Cuban Missile Crisis of October 1962.

They also competed in the arms race and the space race.

alexgriva [62]

In both wars, the governments of the world had to try to fix the what had been destroyed.

America, on the other hand, had little to no damage in ww1 but had plenty in ww2. They spent most of the time after ww1 partying and making the stock market crash. While after ww2, they tried to get communism out of the new countries.

The Spanish-American War resulted from an attempt to enforce the principles expressed by which of these? A) The Declaration of I
irakobra [83]

The correct answer is D. The Spanish-American War resulted from an attempt to enfoce the principles expressed by the Monroe Doctrine.

The Monroe Doctrine, synthesized in the phrase "America for the Americans", was elaborated by John Quincy Adams and attributed to President James Monroe in 1823. It established that any European intervention in America would be seen as an act of aggression that would require intervention of the United States. The doctrine was presented by President Monroe during his sixth State of the Union Address. It was taken with doubts, at first, and then with enthusiasm. It was a decisive moment in the foreign policy of the United States. The doctrine was conceived by its authors, especially John Quincy Adams, as a proclamation by the United States of its opposition to colonialism in response to the threat posed by the monarchical restoration in Europe and the Holy Alliance after the Napoleonic wars.
