I remember the first day of school. There were many people around me that I did not know. I felt nervous and shy around these people. I was not very talkitive with those around me.
On my first day of school I was overcome with nerves. I was excited to see my friends, but scared to be in a new grade, with new people. The first day was like the first page of a book, you didn't know what was coming. I didn't know what this new year brings, or if I should be excited or resistant.
In this scenario, yes, you should wait. If you know that there is a possibility that you won't even show up and that there will be extra seats anyways, there's absolutely no reason you should rush to buy the tickets and risk wasting money.
