Merlin is  a wise magician who advised that the  Arthur  be raised in a secret place to hide his identity, and later was Arthur's advisor.Kay is the  foster brother to the young Arthur, and the son to  Sir Ector who was Arthur's guardian and adoptive father. Kay was known to be a bully while growing up but in later years when Arthur ascended the throne, became one of his trusted knights and  steward as he proved  loyalty  to Arthur.
