Answer: Required system

x+y= 30

0.25x+0.05y=5.10

Jude has 18 quarters and 12 nickels.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x= Number of quarters

y= Number of nickels

As per given,

x+y= 30   (i)

0.25x+0.05y=5.10  (ii)   [1 quarter = $0.25 , 1 nickel = $0.05]

Multiply 0.25 on both sides of equation (i)

0.25x+0.25y= 7.5   (iii)

Eliminate (ii) from (iii) , we get

0.20y=2.4

⇒ y = 12  [divide both sides by 0.20]

Put value of y in (i\), we get

x+12=30

⇒ x= 30-12= 18

Hence, Jude has 18 quarters and 12 nickels.

Use Euler's method to obtain a four-decimal approximation of the indicated value. First use h = 0.1 and then use h = 0.05.
Juliette [100K]

Answer:

  see below for the tables

Step-by-step explanation:

The differential equation is separable, so the solution is ...

  \displaystyle\dfrac{dy}{dx}=2xy\\\\\int{\dfrac{dy}{y}}=\int{2x}\,dx\\\\\ln{y}=x^2+C\\\\\text{Considering the initial condition, $C=-1$}\\\\\boxed{y=e^{x^2-1}}

__

The values for yn are y+y'·h = y+2xyh. We take the "absolute error" to be the (signed) difference between the calculated yn and the actual value y(x).

Lets just choose the first one, 3 4 and 5. According to the Pythagorean Theorem,
a^2+b^2=c^2

So lets plug in our numbers.

3^2+4^2=c^2

The answer should be 5, but lets make sure.

3*3 = 9
4*4 = 16
9+16=c^2
25 = c^2
Square root both sides so:
5=c
And sure enough 5 is the last number on that list. The order doesn’t matter as long as the value you are trying to find is the c^2.
