A sculpture of a gaint cube contains 1000 cubes within it. How many smaller cubes are along each edge of the sculpture
uranmaximum [27]

<u>ANSWER: </u>

A sculpture of a giant cube contains 1000 cubes within it .Along side of each edge of a giant cube there are 10 small cubes.

<u>SOLUTION</u>:

Given that a giant cube has 1000 cubes in it.

Let , length of the giant cube be L

Length of each small cube be v

Then, volume of giant cube = \mathrm{L}^{3}

Volume of small cube = v^{3}

According to the given problem, Volume of giant cube must be equal to 1000 small cubes volume.

\mathrm{L}^{3}=1000 \mathrm{v}^{3}

Apply cube root on both sides

\sqrt[3]{L^{3}}=\sqrt[3]{1000 \times v^{3}}

\sqrt[3]{L^{3}}=\sqrt[3]{(10 v)^{3}}

\sqrt[3]{L^{3}} = \sqrt[3]{(10 v)^{3}}

\mathrm{L}=10v

From above equation we can say that along side of each edge of a giant cube there are 10 small cubes.

Find the area of the figure. use 3.14 for pi
Pepsi [2]

Answer:

38.13 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

area of triangle = 1/2 base × height

                          = 1/2 × 4 × 3

                          = 6 m²

Area of rectangle = length ×  width

                             = 6 × 3

                             = 18m²

Area of semi circle = 180/360 × π × radius²

                               = 180/360 × 3.14 × 3²

                               = 14.13 m²

Add all the areas together

6 + 18 + 14.13 = 38.13
