The "x-interept" is the point where the graph crosses the x-axis.

From here, it looks like this graph crosses the x-axis where x=2 .

So the point is  <em>(2, 0)</em> .

That's choice-<em>A</em> .

(2,0) because the point that lies on the x-axis is 2.

2 complementary angles are in the ratio 7:8.find the angles
slavikrds [6]
Complementary angles add up to 90 degrees
7:8....added = 15

7/15 * 90 = 630/15 = 42 <== one angle is 42 degrees
8/15 * 90 = 720/15 = 48 <== other angle is 48 degrees

1. If the domain of a function f(x) is the set {10, 20, 30}. What does the information tell you about f-1(x)?
ziro4ka [17]

PART A (1 in diagram)

Each mapping diagram represents a function because none of the elements in the inputs maps on to two different elements in the outputs.

1. The domain of the given function f(x) is the set {10, 20, 30}.

All we can say about

{f}^{ - 1} (x)

is that, it has a range of {10, 20, 30}.

This is because the domain of a function becomes the range of its inverse function.

2. If the graph of a function f(x) includes the point (3, 0), then the graph of the inverse function ,

{f}^{ - 1} (x)

will contain the point (0,3).

Reason:The point on the graph of the inverse function is obtained by reflecting the corresponding point on the graph of the function in the line y=x. We just have to swap the coordinates.

In simple terms the domain of the function becomes the range of the inverse function and vice versa.

3. If the first term in an arithmetic sequence is 2.

Then we have a=2.

If the twelfth term is 211, then

a + 11d = 211...(1)

Put a=2 into this equation.

2 + 11d = 211

Solve for d.

11d = 211 - 2

11d = 209

d =  \frac{209}{11}  = 19

If

a_n = 135

then

a + (n - 1)d = 135

Substitute a=2 and d=19

2 + (n - 1)19 = 135

19(n - 1) = 133

(n - 1) =  \frac{133}{19}

n - 1 = 7

n = 7 + 1 = 8

Therefore n=8

I have to transfer this graph into a vertex form equation, but I'm not sure how to.
tino4ka555 [31]

Answer: y = -2/3(x-3)^2 + 0 or y = -2/3(x-3)^2

Step-by-step explanation:

vertex form is y=a(x-h)^2 + k

here we can see the vertex is (3,0) which is (x,y). Or (h,k) in this case.

so to plug that into vertex form, we now have y=a(x-3)^2 + 0. or just y=a(x-3)^2.

now we need to find "a" which is the leading coefficient. to do that we can plug in the (6,-6) for the x and y parts of the above equation. so we'd have

-6=a(6-3)^2. which goes to -6=a(2)^2 which is -6=4a. divide each side by 4 to get a = -2/3. plug this in for a

the final equation would be y = -2/3(x-3)^2 + 0 or y = -2/3(x-3)^2
