Ok, for this one...  see the picture

Step 1:  Find angle R by adding angle Q and P then subtract from 180 (all angles add to 180).  That gives us R angle of 70 degrees.

Step 2:  Find angle QRX by subtracting angle R from 180 (the 2 angles that make up the straight line will add to 180).  180 - 70 = 110 degrees.

Step 3:  Find y by setting the equation to the answer we found in step 2.
y + 25 = 110
y = 85 degrees

Check out the picture.  It should help.

On Monday, it took 5 builders 3 in a half hours to build a wall.
mrs_skeptik [129]

Answer:

£83.70

Step-by-step explanation:

→ First step is to find the amount of hours it takes for one builder

We know it takes 5 builders 3\frac{1}{2} hours so 1 builder would take 5 × 3\frac{1}{2} which is \frac{35}{2} hours so it takes one builder 17.5 hours to builder a wall

→ Now we know how long one work takes we need to find out the time for 2 builders

1 builder = 17.5 hours

2 builders = 17.5 ÷ 2 = 8.75 hours

So 2 builders take 8.75 hours

→ We know that each builder is paid £9.30 for each or part hour they work so

9.30 hourly pay rate × 9 hours work of work = £83.70

Each worker will be paid £83.70

How do i evaluate (7 to the power of 2)to the power of 3)=7 to the power of 5
kakasveta [241]

Step-by-step explanation:

(7^2)^3=7^5\qquad\bold{FALSE}\\\\\text{because}\\\\7^2=7\cdot7\\\\(7^2)^3=(7\cdot7)^3=(7\cdot7)\cdot(7\cdot7)\cdot(7\cdot7)=\underbrace{7\cdot7\cdot7\cdot7\cdot7\cdot7}_6=7^6\\\\\text{or use}\ (a^n)^m=a^{nm}\\\\(7^2)^3=7^{2\cdot3}=7^6

22 POINTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mamont248 [21]

Answer:

The dimensions of the park on the scale drawing are 12 inches by 20 inches

The actual dimensions are given as:

Park = 600 feet by 1000 feet

Swing set = 25 feet by 100 feet

The dimension of the swing set on the scale drawing is given as: 0.5 inch by 2 inches

The above means that, the scale factor (k) is:

--- i.e. divide the scale measurement by the actual measurement

Evaluate both equations

So, we have:

Multiply the scale factor by the dimensions of the park, to get the scale measurement

Hence, the dimensions of the park on the scale drawing are 12 inches by 20 inches
