Answer:

x+5>-7

Step-by-step explanation:

The sum of a number and five translates to x+5. It then states that this expression is more than negative seven, therefore you use a greater than sign to get x+5>-7

WARRIOR [948]
So the rise over run is 5/-4
To start off take 10 degrees/96 cups
If you look at the pattern the degrees go up by 5 and the cups go down by 4

So I believe the answer should be

Which has the greater value? The sum of 89 and 45 or the difference between 89 and 45
VladimirAG [237]

Answer:

The sum of 89 and 45.

Step-by-step explanation:

The sum always means addition and the difference means subtraction. 89 + 45 is greater than 89 - 45.

If f(x) = 4 – x2 and g(x) = 6x, which expression is equivalent to (g – f)(3)?
Kryger [21]

For this case we have the following functions:

f (x) = 4 - x ^ 2\\g (x) = 6x

The first thing we must do for this case is to subtract both functions.

We have then:

(g - f) (x) = g (x) - f (x)

Substituting we have:

(g - f) (x) = (6x) - (4 - x ^ 2)

Rewriting we have:

(g - f) (x) = x ^ 2 + 6x - 4

Evaluating the obtained function for x = 3 we have:

(g - f) (3) = (3) ^ 2 + 6 (3) - 4\\(g - f) (3) = 23

Answer:

The value of the function evaluated at x = 3 is:

(g - f) (3) = 23
