Answer:

x = 4\sqrt{3} , y = 8\sqrt{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of the sides of a 30- 60- 90 triangle are

x : x\sqrt{3} : 2x

From the diagram

x\sqrt{3} = 12 ( divide both sides by \sqrt{3} )

x = \frac{12}{\sqrt{3} } × \frac{\sqrt{3} }{\sqrt{3} } ( rationalising the denominator )

  = \frac{12\sqrt{3} }{3}

x = 4\sqrt{3}

Then

y = 2x = 2 × 4\sqrt{3} = 8\sqrt{3}

Answer:

y = 8 √3

x = 4 √3

Step-by-step explanation:

y sin 60 = 12

y (√3/2) = 12

y = 8√3

y cos 60 = x

(8√3) ÷2 = x

x = 4 √3

Koda is solving 13 × 16. He used an area model to help work through each step. Which calculation did Koda make to get the highli
Anastasy [175]

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Koda is solving

13\times 16

According to question, he used an area model to help work through each step.

So, it can be written as

13=10+3\\\\16=10+6

so, Let the length will be

13=10+3

Let the breadth will be

16=10+6

So, area will be

l\times b\\\\=(10+3)\times (10+6)\\\\=10(10+6)+3(10+6)\\\\=10\times 10+10\times 6+3\times 10+3\times 6\\\\=100+60+30+18\\\\=208

So,

13×16=208

A baby mango tree stands 2.6, meters above the ground. Its roots extend 7/5 meters below the ground.
olga nikolaevna [1]

The vertical distance would be 2.6 meters  + 7/5 meters:

2.6 + 1.4 = 4 meters total.

A.) ∣2.6 − 7/5∣ = ∣2.6 − 1.4 ∣ = ∣1.2∣ = 1.2

B.) ∣7/5 - 2.6∣ = ∣1.4 - 2.6∣ = ∣-1.2∣ = -1.2

Neither one equals 4 meters.

The answer would be C.
