There is no doubt that an ongoing battle between technology and humans has stimulated fear in global history. Beginning with the Industrial Revolution of the 1800s, when machines dominated the workforce, the fear of machines and robots taking people's jobs was sparked. Many individuals from all over the world started to believe that technology was not only going to replace society but also dominate the human race.

These spread all over Western Europe and North America than to the rest of the world. The industrial revolution facilitated the manufacture of more production machines. The causes of the Industrial Revolution came about due to several inventions and the scientific revolution allowing for new discoveries such as technology.
