What did Abraham Lincoln mean when he said, "wringing their bread from the sweat of other men’s faces..."?
Marrrta [24]
He would sometimes use a translated version of the bible, in this case, he did. This speech is an allusion to his bible, and he means that slave owners get labor produced yet it is not from their own work. Thus it was from the sweat of other men that that they obtained there "bread". There bread symbolizes all of their wealth.

Considering that the Ottoman government denied any orders or mass killings, why is Turkish Army Officer Lieutenant Baas' account
sveticcg [70]

People give different versions of the same story as they want. The Turkish Army Officer Lieutenant Baas' account is important as His first-hand account contradicts the denial.

The Ottoman government  in 1916 was known to have massacres a lot of people.

The Armenian genocide denial was a big case in the world.  The claim made by the Ottoman Empire and the Committee of Union and Progress (CUP) was that they had no hand in the genocide against the Armenian people during World War I.

This was a very big crime that has a lot of documentation on the numbers of  evidences to prove their guilt but they still won't accept that they committed it.

How have religious beliefs/practices impacted roles and status of men? How did they impact roles and status of women? Give one s
Elanso [62]
Religions have impacted the social status and roles of men and women, for they usually have a set of laws that believers had to follow

many religions set man higher than women, as men were "created first, and then women".

An example of this is Christianity: Women are to be the helper of men, and were created to help men in his work.

hope this helps
