As time passed, more technological advances appeared in agriculture. The tractor was introduced, followed by new tillage and harvesting equipment, irrigation and air seeding technology, all leading to higher yields and improved quality of the food and fibre that was grown. Livestock technology can enhance or improve the productivity capacity, welfare, or management of animals and livestock. The concept of the 'connected cow' is a result of more and more dairy herds being fitted with sensors to monitor health and increase productivity.

balu736 [363]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

The nature of rural settlement affects the type and expanse of Agricultural activities in the rural area in that the government gives small portions of land to farmers through expropriation. With this decision, governmental authorities try to help farmers to farm the land and get some benefits. However, there are some obstacles that farmers have to overcome. They have to invest in fertilizers, they have to build irrigation infrastructure that is not cheap, and often times rural areas do not have the kind of roads that help farmers move their products.
