Hey there! :)

The lowest number is 72. The greatest is 98. The intervals are by 5. Find the difference between 72 and 95 and divide by 5. If there is a remainder, add 2 to the whole number.

98 - 72 = 26

26 ÷ 5 = 5.2

The whole number is 5. If you leave it 5.2, that won't be an interval. That's why you add 1. 5 + 1 = 6

Remember that you din't start from 1. You started from 72. Add an interval from 1 - 72 and leave it empty.

6 + 1 = 7

Answer ⇒ 7

Hi!

So I included an image of a histogram I made, but here is another way to solve this.

Write all the numbers in order.
72, 78, 81, 86, 86, 87, 92, 92, 92, 98

Now, starting at 70, and with the interval length being 5, let's see how many bars there are.
   72    |    78     |    81    |  86,86,87 | 92,92 |    98
70-75 |  76-80  | 81-85 |   86-90     | 91-95 | 96-100
 BAR 1   BAR 2   BAR 3   BAR 4       BAR 5  BAR 6

Hopefully, that makes a little bit of sense. But I also included an image of an actual histogram.

The answer is 6 bars.

Hope this helps!

.Given the functions f(n) = 500 and g(n) = (nine tenths)n _ 1, combine them to create a geometric sequence, an, and solve for th
weeeeeb [17]
The original functions are: f(n) = 500 and g(n) = [9/10]^(n-1)

A geometric sequence combining them is: An = f(n)*g(n) = 500*[9/10]^(n-1):

Some terms are:
A1= 500
A2 = 500*[9/10]
A3 = 500*[9/10]^2
A4 = 500*[9/10]^3
....
A11 = 500*[9/10]^10 ≈ 174.339

Answer: the third option, An = 500[9/10]^(n-1); A11 = 174.339

Solve for the indicated variable in the literal equation
ANTONII [103]

Answer:

x = \frac{y}{3} - \frac{5}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

y = 5 + 3x

Required

Solve for x

Subtract 5 from both sides

y-5 = 5 -5+ 3x

y-5 = 3x

Divide through by 3

\frac{y}{3} - \frac{5}{3} = x

x = \frac{y}{3} - \frac{5}{3}

18. Without solving the radical equation VX + 5 + 9 = 0, how could you tell that it has no real solution?
sweet-ann [11.9K]

Answer:

Has two unkown variables

Step-by-step explanation:

When there is only one equation provided with two unknown variables, it is difficult to solve for the unknown variables

The most simplified version of this equation would be VX = -14

More information would be needed to solve
