Answer:

No (it would be 48 cups)

Step-by-step explanation:

1 gallon=16 cups. (g will represents gallons and c will represent cups)

so 3g×16c=48c

That means that there is only enough cups for 48 guests.

Solution to sally's problem

She would need one more gallon to have enough cups for all her guests. If she got another gallon she would have 64 cups of lemonade leaving 4 extra cups!

(have a good day!)

Which of the following is a solution of 4x2 = − 9x − 4?
nignag [31]
Get all on one side
add 9x+4 both sides
4x^2+9x+4=0
use quadratic formula
in form
ax^2+bx+c=0
x=\frac{-b+/- \sqrt{b^{2}-4ac} }{2a}

a=4
b=9
c=4

x=\frac{-9+/- \sqrt{9^{2}-4(4)(4)} }{2(4)}
x=\frac{-9+/- \sqrt{81-64} }{8}
x=\frac{-9+/- \sqrt{17} }{8}
x=\frac{-9+ \sqrt{17} }{8} or \frac{-9- \sqrt{17} }{8}

aprox
x=-1.64039 or -0.6096

Liam says that the graph of the function between x=1 and x=3 is non linear and increasing . What error could he have made in ana
____ [38]
I would say that (d) is the correct answer because the section between x=4 and x=6 is not linear but exponential but it is still increasing. The section between x=1 and x=3 however is linear and therefore his answer is incorrect.

What is the sum of the first 10 terms of the geometric sequence 4, -12, 36, -144
Oksanka [162]

The sum of the first 10 terms of the sequence 4, -12, 36, -144 is -59058

The given geometric sequence is:

4, -12, 36, -144

The first term, a = 4

The common ratio,

r = \frac{-12}{4}\\r = -3

Since we are looking for the sum of the first 10 terms

The number of terms, n = 10

The sum of the first n terms of a geometric sequence is given as:

S_n = \frac{a(1-r^n)}{1-r} \\S_n = \frac{4(1-(-3)^{10}}{1-(-3)} \\S_n = \frac{4(1-59049)}{4} \\S_n = -59048

The sum of the first 10 terms of the sequence 4, -12, 36, -144 is -59058
