Answer:

The prophase is the phase of the Karyokinesis during which the nucleus prepares itself to divide its content especially the chromosomes.

The prophase takes place in mitosis as well as in meiosis in two sub-phases that is prophase I and II.

The prophase I differ from the prophase I is that no the chromatids of the chromosomes intertwine and form a synaptic structure where crossing over or recombination takes place which is absent in the prophase.

The prophase I is quite complex than the prophase as the prophase I take place in five substages.

The body's stress response or general adaptation syndrome (gas) typically involves elevated levels of?
atroni [7]

Stress is typically associated with elevated levels of epinephrine and cortisol; some physiologists now define stress as any situation that raises cortisol levels.

What are glucocorticoids?

Glucocorticoids are part of the innate immune system's feedback loop, which diminishes certain facets of immune function, such as inflammation.

As a result, in medicine, they are used to treat diseases caused by an overactive immune system, such as allergies, asthma, autoimmune diseases, and sepsis.

Stress is typically associated with elevated epinephrine and cortisol levels; however, some physiologists now describes stress as any situation that raises cortisol levels.

Thus, the answer is cortisol and epinephrine.

Anettt [7]

Answer:

antimicrobial peptides

Explanation:

Antimicrobial peptides are short-chained amino acids that are produced as a result of the innate immune defense which can kill various pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi.

The structure of these antimicrobial peptides consists of a large portion of hydrophobic residues along with positively charged residues such as arginine and lysine.

Antimicrobial peptides employ the use of various mechanisms to combat the pathogens that enter the body. Some of these mechanisms are ;

1. Destabilizastion of membrane.

2. Formation of transmembrane channels

3. Functioning as immunomodulators.
