Answer:

As, you will observe the line plot, the number of times 12 adults went to supermarket

Adult       Supermarket

 1                 1

 2                 2

3                  4

1                     6

1                      7

1                     10

2                     15

1                       20

As, you will see , in the line plot most of data values are on the left of median, so graph of data set is skewed left.

But when 5 more adults are included in the data,mode has decreased and median  has increased, as median being 10,  the data values  have gone to right it means these adults have traveled more than 10  to supermarket due to which median increases and mode decreases.

Also, it is not necessary that , where i have marked cross is only true, you can mark cross on any number between 10 to 20 as well as both number included that is [10,20].

So, graph of data set is Rightly Skewed (Positive Skewness)

You can jog around the block twice and the park once in 10 min. You can jog around the block twice and the park 3 times in 22 mi
stich3 [128]
B = block     p = park

2b + p = 10 min                2 runs around the block takes 10 minutes
2b + 3p = 22 min        2 runs around the block plus 3 runs around the park                                                       takes 22 minutes

To solve, I will use substitution. First, I will divide the first equation by 2 to get b by itself and subtract p from both sides to get b by itself. Then, substitute 5 - 1/2p in for b in the second equation because they have equal values. Then, subtract 10 from both sides to eliminate it. Divide by 2 to both sides to get 'p' by itself.

2b + p = 10 min ---------→b + 1/2p = 5 ----------→ b = 5 - 1/2p

2(5 - 1/2p) + 3p = 22 ---------→ 10 -p + 3p = 22 --------→ 10 + 2p = 22

10 + 3p = 22 ----------→ 2p = 12

2p = 12 -------------→ p = 6

It takes 6 minutes to jog around the park

Hope this helps!

Kitchen chairs are purchased wholesale for $36 each by a discount furniture store. Then, the store marks up the chairs by 60 per
sveticcg [70]

Answer:

46.08

Step-by-step explanation:

you have to make your percentage a decimal, which 60% will be .60 and 20% will be .20. you then multiply your initial number which is 36 by .60 and add that on because youre adding 60%. After that you will multiply that given number by .20 and you subtract what that product is from your last product you received (36x.60) which if im not mistaken will give you $46.08.

If (x)=<br> X-2<br> and d(x) = x + 3, what is the domain of (cd)(x)?
Nata [24]

Answer:

Option (2)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given functions are,

c(x) = \frac{5}{x-2}

d(x) = x + 3

Equation of the composite function will be,

(cd)(x) = c(x) × d(x)

          = \frac{5}{(x-2)}\times (x+3)

          = \frac{5(x+3)}{(x-2)}

This function is defined only when denominator is not equal to zero.

(x - 2) ≠ 2

Therefore, for real numbers except x = 2 will be the domain of the composite function.

Option (2) will be the answer.
