This is your opinion. If you want summer or winter more. But me I would say winters. I hate the chilly weather but love the snow. Also I love drinking hot Cocoa inside!

Consider how life in our own times is similar to and different from the modernist period. Do you think we live in stable or unce
GuDViN [60]
We definitely live in uncertain times, i don't think the world has ever really been "stable". Life itself is completely unpredictable. There are stable days, stable moments but never just a stable time period. There are too many corruptions and disasters in the world to consider any time a "stable time". Until the world has complete and total peace, there will not be any stability. As long as the world has terrorism, unstable economies, war, nothing can be described as stable. The times we live in today, more and more art as well as literature are becoming things done by technology. Its not like the things you see in history with Beethoven, Charles Dickens, and many other great writers. There are just too many new concepts. The same goes for art, paper is starting to become replaced by technology little by little but faster and faster.

Write an original poem that rhymes about Christmas.

30 lines that starts with Twas the.
notsponge [240]

Answer:

Twas the morning of Christmas and all through the city

Snow had fallen overnight, making everything oh so pretty

There was a blanket of cheer 'cause Christmas was here

Children ran downstairs to find Santa's cookies gone

And knew for sure, he was there before dawn.

Families huddle around the Christmas tree

Handing out presents, one for you and one for me.

A glance at the clock and we notice the time

As the clock strikes with a cheerful chime.

After breakfast is done

No one is spared for everything must rank number one

Some leave to visit others

While others stay home for the holiday

Children jump with joy when they see their grandfathers and grandmothers

While the grownups talk, the children go play

They play with their family whom they don't see everyday

Snowballs are flung from forts made of snow

And the cold bites their noses and sting their cheeks

They head inside for hot cocoa

Some say they won't go outside for another three weeks

Finally the time for presents is here

It's the children's most favorite time of the year

A child rips off the paper of one that is labeled 'From Mother and Father'

As the grownups look at each other with a glance that says 'Why even bother'

The paper reveals a brand new toy

A sailboat for the bathtub, you help but say "Ahoy!"

After cleanup, it's time to eat

The girls cooked up a real treat

There is turkey and ham and a lot more,

You stuff yourself 'till you can't eat much more.

Your mind is changed when mother brings out the desserts you've been warned not to touch

However you're suspicious of one pie, it's Dutch

Candy canes are licked and licked, till they're just an itty bitty stick

The family is all caught up and you have had your fun share

After all you're kind of tired, and tip-toe to bed

After you're all tucked in next to your favorite stuffed bear

You can hear the tunes of Christmas carols still in your head

You think, as you watch the snow fall

The holiday is full of Christmas wishes made by all

And affectionate mistletoe kisses
