He was against the war in </span>Vietnam<span> and was removed from 1964 Congressional resolution that authorized President Johnson to commit </span>US troops<span> to south </span>vietnam<span> and fight </span>a<span> war against north </span>Vietnam<span>.</span>
On december 16th, 1846, 15 of the members of the Donner Party strapped on makeshift snowshoes and tried to walk out of the mountains to try to find help. After several days trying to find help they were left starving and on the verge of collapse.

Jamaica gained it's Independence from Britain in 1962, though is was ruled by the Spanish for over 100 years prior to the British taking control in 1655. Britain held onto Jamaica for a whopping 307 years. Independence was and is considered a good thing by many Jamaicans, but in the modern era, almost 60% of Jamaican citizens say they'd prefer to be ruled by the British again, very different from most former British colonies.
