Drake wants to save $750 so that he can take a class on computer analysis for cars. The class is being held on various dates ove

r the next several months. Drake is planning to take the class 6 weeks from now, so he plans to save $125 each week.
Unfortunately, Drake had to take out a little money from his savings in the 3rd week. After 4 weeks, Drake has $470. He knows that he must adjust his plan in order to meet his goal. Drake came up with the following options:
Option A: Stay with saving the original amount each week but take the class a week later than originally planned.
Option B: Increase the amount of money he saves each week by $15 from his original plan.
Which of the following is a true statement?
a.
Only option A will allow him to meet his goal.
b.
Only option B will allow him to meet his goal.
c.
Both options A and B will allow him to meet his goal.

!!!HELP!!! PLEASE SHOW WORK SO I CAN UNDERSTAND!
ss7ja [257]

The only part of this problem that's the least bit tricky is knowing
the formula for the volume of a sphere. Here is is:

          Volume of a sphere = (4/3) (pi) (radius of the sphere)³  .

Everything else is just arithmetic.

pi . . . use 3.14
Radius . . . 2-1/8 inches. It'll be easier if we write that as 2.125 inches.

Now, just put the numbers into their places in the formula:

         Volume = (4/3) (pi) (radius of the sphere)³

                     = (4/3) (3.14) (2.125)³

and run that through your calculator.

When I run it through mine, I get 40.174 in³ .

None of the choices is anywhere near that number.
I'm worried, and I don't understand that.

Maybe we should look back at the question, and notice that
it says "estimate" ... something you do quickly in your head.

OK. We know the real formula ... Volume = (4/3) (pi) (radius)³ .
How could we estimate this quickly in our head?

pi . . . instead of 3.14, just use 3

radius . . . instead of 2-1/8, just use 2 .  Then (radius)³ = 2 x 2 x 2 = 8

Then  (4/3) (pi) (radius)³ = (4/3) (3) (8) = (4/3) of 24  =  32 .

Well now, will you look at that ! I guess that's where the 32 came from
on the list of choices.

A measure of the strength of the relationship between two variables is referred to as the A. standard deviation of the estimate.
marin [14]

Answer:

D. Coefficient of Correlation

Step-by-step explanation:

The name itself "Coefficient of Correlation" involves the word correlation, meaning relationship between two things.

The coefficient of Correlation is used to determine how strong a relationship is between two variables.

The formula of Coefficient of Correlation gives a value between -1 and 1. Moreover, it helps to plot a graph showing the strength of relationship.

1 : A strong positive relationship

-1: A Strong negative relationship

0: No relationship at all

One of the most used formula is Pearson Correlation Coefficient Formula, picture of which is attached. X and Y represent two different set of datas.

Note:

The other terms are defined as :

Coefficient of Determination : Square of correlation between predicted scores and actual scores. It usually ranges from 0 to 1 .

Standard deviation of estimate : represents the amount of variation among a set of values .

Standard Error of estimate : It is the measure of dispersion of sample means around population means.

Help ? Pls ???????? Don’t know
Anni [7]

Answer:

y=-3x+7

Step-by-step explanation:

y=mx+b is the formula you are going to end up once completed.

This, by given two points:

(4,-5) (3,-2)

\frac{-2-5}{3-4} = Point-Slope Intercept Form

\frac{3}{-1} = After subtracting both from above

-3 = is your slope, decreasing.

Substitute -3 for y=mx+b

y=-3x+b

Use one of the given points (any) to find what b equals.

(4,-5)

x    y

-5=-3(4)+b

-5= -12+b

7=b

Final Equation:

y=-3x+7
