Social Studies

Social evils are the issues that directly or indirectly affect the members of a society and are considered a point of controversy or a problem in regards to moral values. Common social evils include caste system, poverty, dowry system, gender inequality, illiteracy, etc.

Untouchability is a social evil because the backward classes are denied the very fundamental rights, which are guaranteed to each and every citizen by the Constitution. Untouchability alienates people from the social structure and hinders the progress of society as a whole.

Social evil is any pain or suffering brought about by the game-theoretic interactions of many individuals. Social evil is not a natural evil because it is brought about by the choices of individuals. But social evil is not a form of moral evil because each individual actor does not misuse his free will.

If this doesn't help, I'm sorry. Hope you have a good day!

STALIN [3.7K]

Main concern in playing soccer is whether his performance will be good enough to win his father’s attention and approval. This example best illustrates extrinsic forces.

Extrinsic motivation is the motivation to exhibit a behavior or engage in an activity because you want a reward, attention or avoid punishment. To get something back or avoid something uncomfortable. Unlike intrinsic motivation, external elements drive this form of motive.

Extrinsic motivation emerges outside the individual. Extrinsic motivation is not bad. It can be fruitful in some conditions. For example, extrinsic motivation is especially useful when a person has to complete a task that makes them feel uncomfortable.

Which of the following correctly describes the events that led to the fall of the roman empire?
Elina [12.6K]
I hop you like the paragraph

To many historians the fall of the Roman Empire has always been viewed as the end of the ancient world and the onset of the Middle Ages, often improperly called the Dark Ages, despite Petrarch’s assertion. Since much of the west had already fallen by the middle of the fifth century, when a writer speaks of the fall of the empire, he or she generally refers to the fall of the city of Rome. Although historians generally agree on the year of the fall, 476 CE, they often disagree on its causes. English historian Edward Gibbon, who wrote in the late 18th century CE, points to the rise of Christianity and its effect on the Roman psyche while others believe the decline and fall was due, in part, to the influx of 'barbarians' from the north and west.

Whatever the cause, whether it was religion, external attack, or the internal decay of the city itself, the debate continues to the present day; however, one significant point must be established before a discussion of the roots of the fall can continue: the decline and fall was only in the west. The eastern half - that which would eventually be called the Byzantine Empire - would continue for several centuries, and, in many ways, it retained a unique Roman identity.

The correct order of the steps in Pavlov's research on classical conditioning was:
Ber [7]

Answer:

c) identifying the bell as a neutral stimulus; identifying food as the unconditioned stimulus; repeatedly presenting the sound of the bell followed by food; presenting the sound of the bell to produce saliva.

Explanation:

Russian physiologist Ivan Pavlov was studying salivation in dogs during the 1890s and comes up with the theory of classical conditioning in which a neutral stimulus was closely associated with the unconditioned stimulus to obtain a particular conditioned response.  the theory involves learning to combine an unconditional stimulus that has already given rise to a specific response with a new stimulus so that the new stimulus results in the same response.
