Phospholipids (Phospholipid bilayer)
Active site
A reactant
binds to an enzyme in a region known as the active site during a reaction. The active site is the
most important part of the enzyme because it is where the chemical reaction
happens. It usually contains three to four amino acids and a binding site that
binds the substrate and prepares it for catalysis.
The somatosensory cortex is present in a ridge of cortex of the parietal lobe of the brain. The function of the somatosensory cortex is to process somatic sensations such as touch, pain and temperature. The size of the somatosensory cortex increases in the blind where vision replaces touch. Bind use fingertips to see trough touch.
