Find the volume of this prism

Mathematics

8 0

Answer:

The total volume of the prism is 840 cm³

Step-by-step explanation:

We can solve this by breaking it down into two rectangular prisms and adding their volume together

We know that they both have a depth of 6 cm

The large bottom one has a width of 15cm

The small top one has a width of 5 cm

The bottom one a height of 8 cm

and the two of them collectively have a height of 12 cm.

With those last two pieces of information, we can say that the smaller one has a height of 12 - 8, or 4 cm

With all of that, we can work out their volumes.

The smaller one will be 6 × 5 × 4 = 6 × 20 = 120

The larger one is 6 × 8 × 15 = 6 × 120 = 720

So the total volume is 120 + 720, or 840 cm³

Determine the domain of the following graph:<br> Help
erica [24]

Answer:

Domain: (-3, 7)

General Formulas and Concepts:

<u>Algebra I</u>

  • Domain is the set of x-values that can be inputted into function f(x)
  • Interval Notation - [a, b] is inclusive, (a, b) is exclusive

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the graph, our x-values span from -3 to 7. Since both are open dot, they are exclusive from the domain:

Interval Notation (-3, 7)

Inequality Notation -3 < x < 7

Can you help me with any of these please (not lazy don't understand )
Anarel [89]
I believe the first one is h becuase there is a y on the left side.
for the second one just find the slope for the points and see which one doesn't fit in the groups (I would use tables)
and for the last one try writing equations for them.

but idk tho that's just what I would do.

Find the common ratio for this geometric sequence 8, 2, 1/2, 1/8, 1/32
kompoz [17]

Answer:

Multiply 1/4 ; dividing 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Note that in each number going from left to right, it decreases by dividing 4 each time (or multiplying 1/4)

8/4 = 2 ; 2/4 = 1/2 ; (1/2)/(4) = 1/8 ; etc.

(8)(1/4) = 2 ; (2)(1/4) = 1/2 ; etc.
