There is less use or less need for indigenous languages due to one of the following processes:
• Media, Internet, consumer goods, trade, and higher education encourage indigenous peoples to learn, accept, or adapt to the global economy or globalized culture.
• Foreign investment in infrastructure (e.g., cellular phone networks, railways, highways, and ports) places indigenous peoples in contact with the global economy or globalized culture.
Answer:
double a;
double b;
double distance = Math.sqrt( (Math.pow(a, 2) + Math.pow(b, 2));
System.out.println("The distance is: " + distance);
Explanation:
The code snippet is written in Java.
First, variable a is declared as a type of double and variable b is also declared as a type of double.
The given formula for the distance is:
√(a² + b²)
So we use the inbuilt function of Java to calculate the power and the square root.
Math.sqrt is to find the square root and it returns a value of type double.
Math.pow is use to calculate the value of a² and b².
a² = Math.pow(a, 2)
b² = Math.pow(b, 2)
Then Math.sqrt is applied to the sum of Math.pow(a, 2) and Math.pow(b, 2), the value is assigned to distance of type double.
The value of distance is now displayed to the user:
System.out.println("The distance is: " + distance);
Regionally, a home may be a general region, such as the south. Locally, this will be something on a much smaller scale such as your hometown. Globally, this will usually be a nation as your home.
Example -
My regional home is the south, my local home is Smallville, and my global home is the United States.
Hopefully, this helps! I'm a bit iffy on my answer, but I hope it satisfies you! =)
Maybe it’s just not meant to be? you’ll probably find someone better!
1920s-focus on things like the Harlem renaissance for example. During the roaring 1920s, inventions like home refrigeration and penicilin sent America into the modern age. The 1920s were an age of dramatic social and political change. For the first time, more Americans lived in cities than on farms. The nation’s total wealth more than doubled between 1920 and 1929, and this economic growth swept many Americans into an affluent but unfamiliar “consumer society.” People from coast to coast bought the same goods (thanks to nationwide advertising and the spread of chain stores), listened to the same music, did the same dances and even used the same slang! Many Americans were apprehensive with this new, urban, sometimes racy “mass culture”;
Focus on how with these social changes, it affected everyone in the US and the contrast could be the fact that it didn't affect those like minorities. Talk about racism and intolerance, prohibition era, The Great Depression is a good topic to touch on as well and how it forced people to move from rural to urban looking for jobs which resulted in overcrowded cities and apartments which also affected the environment in some cases. I'd do some research to further analyze it better but hopefully I gave you some things to talk about
