Answer:

Subordinating conjunction.

Explanation:

A subordinating conjunction is a conjunction that not only joins two sentences together but also acts as the link for the two clauses in such a way that the informative value of the whole sentence is made whole. This type of conjunction links a dependent clause with an independent clause.

In the sentence "I hopped on one foot while I pulled off the wet sock", the word <u>"WHILE" acts as the subordinating conjunction</u>. It helps join the two clauses together and also adds informational value to the first clause.

Thus, the correct answer is a subordinating conjunction.

Can someone please help me with this
Daniel [21]

Answer:

Is it possible to easily end Homelessness in America? The simple answer is no. If homelessness was so easily solved we, Americans would have solved it. It cannot easily be solved because all those who are homeless could actually have a home, if they work hard and pursue a healthier life. Others it is truly hard to have a home from different life circumstances or many other options. Solving these issues would involve housing all of these people, finding them jobs to support themselves, making sure they keep a job, and making sure they are making good life decisions. It sounds like being a parent, and it will be quite hard for a few people who already have their own issues in life to do all of this for (Find how many homeless people in America) people. However, I did not say it was impossible, but that topic shall be for another paragraph.

"There is a class of persons (happily not quite so numerous as formerly) who think it enough if a person assents undoubtingly to
galina1969 [7]

This passage is a famous quote by John Stuart Mill from his book <em>On Liberty</em>. <em>On Liberty</em> is one of the most remarkable defenses of freedom of speech in political thought.

Mill begins by telling us that many people hold opinions for which they have no facts or grounds to defend them, even against superficial objections. Therefore, these people are completely convinced of certain beliefs they in fact should not believe.

Moreover, he believes that these people generally think it a bad thing to question those beliefs, as they were taught by an authority who they consider more knowledgeable than themselves. Therefore, they are incapable of rejecting an opinion in a well-thought out way (as they do not usually consider things wisely), and instead, when they reject an idea they do so in a rash way.

This people might be mistaken in their opinions, or they might be correct. However, even when they are correct, this should not be called "truth." A "truth" that is known in this way is simply another type of prejudice or superstition, as the process through which it was obtained was not one of honest and open dialogue.
