During Philip II's reign he expanded Spanish influence, stregthened the Catholic Church, and made his own power absoute. He was like his father hard working, devouted, and ambitious. Unlike others, Philip spent most of his time on government work. He never jousted and would sometimes hunt. He made every part of the govenment responsible to himself. He controlled as an absoulute monarch with complete control over his government and the lives of the people.and Spanish power and prosperity declined aafter the defeat of the spanish . Through the 1600's, Spain's strength decreased. One of the reasons was that Philip II's sucessor wasn't suited for the job. Then there were economic problems also brought the decline Treasures from the Americas led Spain to neglect farming and commerce. Also the government hevaily taxed the small middle class, weaking a group that in other European nation supported royal power. The Spanish power dqindled in the 1600's and 1700's.

Would you rather live in Jamestown or Plymouth? why or why not?
Citrus2011 [14]

Answer:If I had to choose which colony to live in between Plymouth & Jamestown, I would choose Plymouth. The reason I would live in Plymouth is because I’d probably die in Jamestown because of an Indian attack, or a disease. In Plymouth, there is peace with the Indians and the colony. I also wouldn’t be in Jamestown because I am not a greedy person who looks for gold instead of food and starves to death because of it. I’d rather be searching for food and shelter rather than waste my time trying to find gold only to find fool’s gold. Also, think of the privilege it would be to witness the first Thanksgiving!

The only answer that makes any sense is C. The British Empire was the sole enemy of the French, fighting them and winning in the Seven Years War. While I am completely unaware of what campaign you are referencing, General Burgoyne partook in many over his years as a British officer, I am certain alliance with the French and splitting New York and Canada were not one of them.
