Answer:

A. -0.80

B. 2.20

Explanation:

A. Calculation for your net profit on the option if Pfizer’s stock price does not change over the life of the option

Net profit per share=max(53-55,0)-0.80

Net profit per share=0-0.80

Net profit per share=-0.80

Therefore your net profit on the option if Pfizer’s stock price does not change over the life of the option is -0.80

b. Calculation for your net profit on the option if Pfizer’s stock price falls to $50 and you exercise the option

Net profit per share

=max(53-50,0)-0.80

Net profit per share=3-0.80

Net profit per share=2.20

Therefore your net profit on the option if Pfizer’s stock price falls to $50 and you exercise the option is 2.20

nexus9112 [7]

Answer:

I used the most recent figures of the international property rights index (year 2019), and the most recent GDP per capita estimamtes by the IMF in purchasing power parity. (year 2019)

Three countries with high scores, with GDP per capita (PPP):

  1. Finland - score of 8.712 - U$ 46.430
  2. Switzerland - score of 8.571 - U$ 64.649
  3. United States - score of 8.202 - U$ 62.606

Three countries with low scores, with GDP per capita (PPP):

  1. Ukraine - score of 4.432 - U$ 9.283
  2. Pakistan - score of 3.874 - U$ 5.680
  3. Haiti - score of 2.703 - U$ 1.864

The pattern that we find is that there is a strong correlation between the International Property Right Index scores and the GDP per capita figures. This is consistent with the findings in other similar rankings such as the Global Competitiveness Report, published by the World Economic Forum, and the Economic Freedom Index, published by the Heritage Foundation.

What can be interpreted is that property rights, and the strong enforcement of those property rights promote economic development and growth. This is because the protection of private property stimulates human action. For example, the United States has a strong judiciary, and rule of law. In this country, people can invest their money in a project with the certainty that those invesments will not be expropriated by an arbitrary judiciary. This promotes development because investing leads to higher economic output.

Those same incentives do not exist in countries that do not enforce property rights, and that is one of the main reasons why they are poor.

After a product recall triggered by salmonella contamination and repeated violation citations by the health department, Mc Burge
Julli [10]

Answer:

McBurger Inc.

Introduction of Healthylicious-n-Safe

I think that McBurger should launch this new product.  If McBurger can capture more than 28% of the meatless burger market, it can break-even in 12 months and start earning huge profits in 18 months when there will be nil promotion costs.

Explanation:

Annual projected market sales of meatless burger = 1,250,000 boxes

Content of each box of Healthylicious-n-Safe = 8 burgers

Fixed cost per month = $35,000

Total annual fixed cost = $420,000 ($35,000 * 12)

Estimated variable cost of making one burger = $0.875

Estimated variable cost of a box of 8 burgers = $7 ($0.875 * 8)

Cost of promotional campaign in the first 12 months = $275,000

Total annual fixed cost including promotions = $695,000

Expected selling price per box of Healthylicious-n-Safe = $9

Estimated variable cost per box of Healthylicious-n-Safe    7

Contribution margin per box of Healthylicious-n-Safe =   $2

Sales units required to break-even = Total fixed costs/Contribution margin per box

= $695,000/$2 = 347,500 boxes

This sales units break-even point represents 27.8% of the meatless burger market (347,500/1,250,000 * 100)
