Ventajas de la urbanización:

Crecimiento sostenido. El crecimiento de las ciudades va acompañado de una mayor demanda de servicios básicos y de bienes de consumo, lo cual genera un mercado mayor a satisfacer.

Concentración poblacional. Las ciudades son ámbitos más controlables por los Estados y con mayor facilidad de cobertura de redes de servicio o de distribución, dado que la población se concentra en algunos kilómetros a la redonda.

Complejización laboral. El mercado de empleo en la ciudad es mucho más diverso y variado que en las zonas rurales, permitiendo así el desarrollo y complejización de las actividades industriales, comerciales y de servicios.
