Answer:

Yes, if you need any help ask :D

Explanation:

------> A condition caused by mutations in one or more genes is called a genetic disorder. In some cases, gene mutations are so severe that they prevent an embryo from surviving until birth. These changes occur in genes that are essential for development, and often disrupt the development of an embryo in its earliest stage!!

An eye that can see far away object clearly but which can’ t clearly focus on objects that are 25 cm from the lens of the eye is
iVinArrow [24]

Answer:

a. When glasses (or contact lenses) are used to correct nearsightedness, the lens should form the image at the far point.

b. If a nearsighted person has a far point df that is 3.50 m from the eye, what is the focal length f1 the contact lenses that the person would need to see an object at infinity clearly?

f 1 = -3.50 m

Explanation:

a. Nearsightedness (the person cannot focus on the far point objects) physics of eyesight correction,  can be resolved by using focal length of concave lens as the corrective lens, which correct the eyesight artificially, as the eye’s lens bends the rays from a distant object too much and the rays are brought to a focus before they reach the retina.  A diverging lens bends the ray outwards before they reach the eye’s lens and the rays are brought to a focus on the retina.

The lens formula to find the focal length of the lens is:

                      1/f = 1u + 1/v

Where, f is the focal length of the lens, u is the object distance, and v  is the image distance.

The light lands in front of the retina, so the image is forming in front of the retina .When concave lens used as a corrective lens the clear vision is achieved, helping to bend the rays of light outwards and the light converge further and reach the retina to form the imagemeaning the lens should form the image at the far point.

b.      The lens formula is,

                       1/f = 1u + 1/v

Here the object distance is infinity,so the reciprocal of infinity gives zero.

   Substitute 0.0  for u   and 0.0 -3.50 m    for   v

1/f = 1/ -3.50m  + 1/ 0.0

Therefore, the focal length of the contact lenses that the person would need to see an object clearly is -3.50 m

In the post-absorptive state (e.g. 10 hours after a meal), which is not likely to occur?
GaryK [48]
I found the exercise on the internet and these are the options:
"<span>a. gluconeogenesis begins
b. beta-oxidation increases
c. blood glucose levels fall
d. the liver produces more glycogen"

The option that's not likely to happen is "</span>the liver produces more glycogen".
The formation of glycogen by the liver happens after eating a meal with carbohydrates. The level of blood glucose increases, and insulin is secreted by the pancreas and will act by allowing glucose to enter the body cells. When the glucose enters the liver cells, insulin will also act on the liver by stimulating glycogen synthesis. This process continues to happen until glucose levels begin to decrease in the <span>post-absorptive state</span> and, therefore, insulin secretion also decreases leading glycogen synthesis in the liver to stop.

Please Help! This model shows a ball being shot from the cannon Which of these statement accurately describes the energy of the
ra1l [238]

The potential energy will be the highest at point C while it will be the lowest at point E. Option B and D are correct.

<h3>What is potential energy?</h3>
  • It is the energy of an object or body due to the position of the component of the body.
  • The potential energy will be highest at point C because the relative position of the ball is highest from the earth.

<h3>Kinetic energy:</h3>
  • The kinetic energy of an object is the energy due to its motion.
  • At point E, the ball moves fastest due to the gravitational acceleration.

Therefore, the potential energy will be the highest at point C while it will be the lowest at point E.
