Argument: There should be higher fines for drivers who do not stop at red lights. Claim: Drivers will stop at red lights if they

are fined for going through them. Which revision to the claim best supports the argument? Going through a red light is illegal. The current fines are generating a lot of money for the city. People do not feel safe on the street when they know drivers are not stopping at red lights. The current fines are not high enough to discourage drivers from going through red lights.

Which question would be most helpful for figuring out the main idea of a book? A What is the main thing the author wants to say?
nata0808 [166]
A
The message the author is saying in their book would help lead to finding the main idea because it would relate to the message. Opinions are just what you think it is about and not necessarily what the author was thinking.

What is dialogue effect on the pacing of a story
Genrish500 [490]

When I read a story with a dialogue, I start to get an understanding on what the plot of the story may be. Foreshadowing is also something that happens in dialogues that you must pay attention to, it gives you clues.

Also, sometimes if a paragraph is long, the reader can get thrown-away from the story or get bored. So a dialogue may interest the reader again.

I hope this helps!
