8 and 9 year old girls are getting married to 30 year old men for protection.
frez [133]

Answer:

This story made me feel sad :(

However, the purpose of this story is to reveal the cruelty of our world and the protectors who help and protect children.

The quote, "Nobody wants to be told what they're doing is wrong" is true. Sometimes, we never accept when we're wrong.

"and you see the terror" represents that nobody cared until something had to happen.

I'm sorry I couldn't get much from these quotes. This topic is a bit tough for me sometimes and I'm just doing my best to help.

Serjik [45]

Answer: Read again stanzas one and two. Suggest a word or phrase of your own that best describe how the two characters feel about each other . In ballad of Birmingham, In the First Stanza, the daughter was asking for permission from her Mother, to go to the march, you could see, she respected her mother, and needed approval to do certain things. In the second stanza, you could see a Cautious woman, protecting her child from the dangers of the world.

Explanation:

In the first stanza;

Mother dear, may I go downtown

Instead of out to play,

And march the streets of Birmingham

In a Freedom March today?”

In the First Stanza, the daughter was asking for permission from her Mother, to go to the march, you could see, she respected her mother, and needed approval to do certain things.

In the second stanza;

No, baby, no, you may not go,

For the dogs are fierce and wild,

And clubs and hoses, guns and jails

Aren’t good for a little child.”

In the second stanza, the mother refuses, because she was trying to protect her daughter from the dangers of her environment.

From the first two stanzas, you could see that the mother loved her daughter and wanted to protect her from the dangers of the world, and you could see that the daughter respected her mum, to ask for permission to go the march.
