V. Resolution: this is the part of a play in which all conflicts are resolved. This ultimately implies that, it marks the end of a play, as conflict between the protagonist and antagonist is resolved.

In conclusion, the part of a plot in which the conflict builds gradually in intensity is generally referred to as rising action.
