4. Dan and Laura had to pay to sign up for swim lessons, and then they paid a certain amount per lesson. Dan
natali 33 [55]

<u>Answer:</u>

Mitch has taken 17 complete lesson and 60% of one last lesson.

<u>Solution: </u>

Dan and Laura needs to pay certain amount for swimming lessons.

Dan took four lessons and paid $ 100

Laura took 8 lessons and paid $ 200.

Need to calculate number of lessons taken by Mitch when amount paid by Mitch = $440.

Let’s first calculate price of one lesson.

For 4 lessons of Dan, payment = $100

So for 1 lesson of Dan, payment \frac{100}{4} = 25

For 8 lessons of Laura, payment made = $200

So for 1 lesson of laura, payment made = \frac{200}{8} = 25

So clearly cost of 1 lesson = $ 25.

So <em>number of lessons taken by Mitch</em> = Amount spent / cost of 1 lesson

= \frac{440}{25} = 17.6

So Mitch has taken 17 complete lesson and 60% of one last lesson.

The cost function of a game store is C=$5.50n+$700 and the revenue function is R=$9n. how many games does the store need to sell
Tatiana [17]
The answer would be 200 because you would solve the equation 5.50+700=9n. Once you do, you end up with 200. And if you plug it in it equals the same.
