Find all the missing angles: a, b, c, d.

Mathematics

Answer:

a= 180-60-55=65

we know that the angle of a flat(?) ground would be 180, so we can take away the 60 and 55 to find a.

b=180-90-65=25

the sum of interior angle of a triangle would be 180, now we know what a is, also the right angle is 90, now we can take away the 90 and 65 to find b.

c=25

c is 25, because two angles on both sides of a X is the same

Shirley estimated the length of a board to be 18 inches. The actual length is 23 inches. To the nearest tenth of a percent, what
artcher [175]

The percent error of Shirley's estimate is 21.74%

Calculating pecent error

Given the following parameters

 • Actual length = 23 inches
 • Estimated length = 18in

% error = actual-estimated/actual * 100

% error = 23-18/23 * 100

% error = 500/23

% error = 21.74%

Hence the percent error of Shirley's estimate is 21.74%

Phoenix [80]

The fisherman reaches the town on 4th day.

SOLUTION:

Given, A fisherman rows his boat toward a town 17 miles upstream.

Each day he rows the boat 6 miles upstream, and each night the boat drifts back 2 miles.

We have to find If this pattern continues on which day will he reach the town?

Now, after 1st day distance between him and town = 17 – 6 = 11 miles

And after that night, distance = 11 + 2 = 13 miles

Now, again after 2nd day, distance = 13 – 6 = 7 miles

And after that night, distance = 7 + 2 = 9 miles

Now, again after 3rd day, distance = 9 – 6 = 3 miles

And after the night, distance = 3 + 2 = 5 miles

Now, again after 4th day, distance = 5 – 6 miles = - 1 miles

Here, - 1 miles means that he already reached the town.

Hence, the fisherman reaches the town on 4th day

How do you solve 38.7×10 to the fourth power
faltersainse [42]

ndex Notation and Powers of 10

10 to the Power 2

The exponent (or index or power) of a number says

how many times to use the number in a multiplication.

102 means 10 × 10 = 100

(It says 10 is used 2 times in the multiplication)

Example: 103 = 10 × 10 × 10 = 1,000

In words: 103 could be called "10 to the third power", "10 to the power 3" or simply "10 cubed"

Example: 104 = 10 × 10 × 10 × 10 = 10,000

In words: 104 could be called "10 to the fourth power", "10 to the power 4" or "10 to the 4"
