The average is the total number of miles run dived by the number of days.

The total number of miles is the difference of the last reading ( 11,477) less the initial reading (10,150) = 11,477 - 10,150 = 1,327 miles.

The number of days is 7.

The the average is:

average = number of miles run / number of days = 1,327 miles / 7 days =  189,6 miles / day.

Answer: 189,6 miles / day.

HELP MEEE???? L'LL GIVE U A BRAINLIST???
Katarina [22]
Okay, don’t freak out. It’s more simple than it seems.
To find the area of this rectangle you use length x length
Let’s look for the length first
Use the bottom left and right points
(-2.25,-1) and (2.25,-1)
The length is a horizontal line so we use the x-coordinates. The distance from -2.25 to 2.25 is 4.5
Now let’s find the height. Let’s use the top left and bottom left coordinates.
(-2.25,4) and (-2.25,-1)
The height is a vertical line. The y-coordinates. Their difference is 5.
So 4.5 x 5 = 22.5

How many bucketloads would it take to bucket out the world’s oceans? Write your answer in scientific notation.
kodGreya [7K]

Answer: 7\times10^{19} buckets

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:  A cubic kilometer=10^{15}cubic centimeters

The volume of  world’s oceans=1.4\times10^{9} cubic kilometers of water.

⇒ The volume of  world’s oceans=1.4\times10^{9}\times10^{15} cubic centimeters of water.

Volume of a bucket = 20,000 cubic centimeters of water.

The number of bucket-loads would it take to bucket out the world’s oceans

n=\frac{\text{volume of ocean}}{\text{volume of bucket}}=\frac{1.4\times10^{9}\times10^{15}}{20000}

\Rightarrow\ n=\frac{1.4\times10^{9+15}}{0.2\times10^5}......[a^n\times a^m=a^{m+n}]\\\Rightarrow\ n=7\times10^{24-5}.....[\frac{a^m}{a^n}=a^{m-n}]\\\Rightyarrow\ n=7\times10^{19}

hence,  7\times10^{19} bucketloads would it take to bucket out the world’s oceans.
