Answer:

x = 0.29 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

The length of the hammer is = 0.29 m

The hammer is a tool that may be used in various operation or work by mechanics, plumbers, or masonries and even by normal people.

So let the length of the hammer be x.

The length of the hammer is expressed in meters or inches or centimeters.

Therefore, the expression of length of the hammer is expressed as x = 0.29 m.

At a butcher shop, Hilda bought 6 1/4 lb of Beef and some pork. She left with 13 1/20 lb of meat. Express the number of pounds
lina2011 [118]

Hilda bought 15.11 lb of pork.

Step-by-step explanation:

Cost of Beef that Hilda bought = 4 17/20 = 4.85 lb

Cost of the total meat she bought = 19 24/25 = 19.96 lb.

To find the number of pounds of pork she bought, subtract.

Number of pounds of pork she bought = 19.96 - 4.85 = 15.11 lb.

1.) Find the value of the discriminant and the the number of real solutions of
ruslelena [56]
Hi there!

When we have an equation standard form...
a {x}^{2} + bx + c = 0
...the formula of the discriminant is
D = b^2 - 4ac

When
D > 0 we have two real solutions
D = 0 we have one real solutions
D < 0 we don't have real solutions

1.) Find the value of the discriminant and the the number of real solutions of
x^2-8x+7=0

Plug in the values from the equation into the formula of the discriminant

( - 8) {}^{2} - 4 \times 1 \times 7 = 64 - 28 = 36

D > 0 and therefore we have two real solutions.

2.) Find the value of the discriminant and the number of real solutions of
2x^2+4x+2=0

Again, plug in the values from the equation into the formula of the discriminant.

{4}^{2} - 4 \times 2 \times 2 = 16 - 16 = 0

D = 0 and therefore we have one real solution.

~ Hope this helps you.
