# of apples

3/8(a)=# of oranges

p=# of pears

3/4(p)=# of oranges

(3/8)a=(3/4)p

(3/8)/(3/4)=p/a

(3/8)(6/8)=p/a

3/6=p/a

1/2=p/a

the ratios of pears to apples is 1 to 2

for every 1 pear there are 2 apples

if there are 4 pears there are 8 apples

there are 8 apples

(3/8)(8)=3 oranges

there are 4 pears

(3/4)(4)=3 oranges again

8 apples, 3 oranges, 4 pears

15 pieces of fruit and 3 are oranges

ratio is 3/15=1/5

James is solving a number puzzle that involves three integers, a, b, and c, where c is a positive integer. The product of a and
m_a_m_a [10]

Given:

Three integers, a, b, and c, where c is a positive integer.

The product of a and b is 6.

The product of a and c is -4.

The product of b and c is -6.

To find:

The values of a,b and c.

Solution:

According to the given information:

ab=6        ...(i)

ac=-4       ...(ii)

bc=-6      ...(iii)

From (ii), we get

a=-\dfrsc{4}{c}          ...(iv)

From (iii), we get

b=-\dfrsc{6}{c}         ...(v)

Putting a=-\dfrsc{4}{c}  and b=-\dfrsc{6}{c} in (i), we get

\dfrac{-4}{c}\times \dfrac{-6}{c}=6

\dfrac{24}{c^2}=6

\dfrac{24}{6}=c^2

4=c^2

Taking square root on both sides, we get

\pm \sqrt{4}=c

\pm 2=c

It is given that c is a positive integer. So, it cannot be negative and the only value of c is c=2.

Putting c=2 in (iv), we get

a=-\dfrsc{4}{2}

a=-2

Putting c=2 in (v), we get

b=-\dfrsc{6}{2}

b=-3

Therefore, the values of a,b,c are a=-2,b=-3,c=2.

Answer:

f(x) ≤ x2 – x – 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Answer:

The graph will have opposite x-intercepts of b and –b and be symmetrical about the y-axis. The graph will have a y-intercept at –b2.

Step-by-step explanation:

i don't have the step by step explanation but that answer is also right

the x intercepts are b and b

the graph has opposite x intercepts

the graph is symetrical  over the y axis

the y intercept is at b²

Answer:

f(x) ≤ x2 – x – 1
