Answer:

D. The mean would decrease as there is less variability in the data.

Step-by-step explanation:

So, let’s find the mean with all of those numbers. First of all we should order them from least to greatest.

11.9, 12.0, 12.3, 12.3, 13.5, 16.0

We add them all up, and get 78! Once we get this total, we must divide it by how many numbers there are! There are six numbers, so 78/6.

78/6 is equal to 13. So the mean for all those numbers is 13.

Now let’s find the mean if we cross out the greatest and least numbers, the greatest number is 16.0, and the least number Is 11.9.

So, our new data set is:

12.0, 12.3, 12.3, 13.5

Add those all up to get 50.1

Divide the total by the numbers we got left, which is 4!

50.1/4 is equal to 12.525.

So the mean of our new data set is 12.525!

So that’s how I got the answer, have a nice day! Please tell me if I’m wrong!

12.525 < 13

Answer:

a = $17.25

Step-by-step explanation:

let the money spend on the necklace be a

we have

15.75 +1.5*2 +a + 14 = 50

-> a = 50 -15.75 -3-14

-> a = $17.25

What is the best approximation for the perimeter of a semicircle with a diameter of 12 cm?
maw [93]
When we speak of the word "perimeter" of a circle, we mean to say the circumference. Since we are only given a semicircle, the perimeter would be,
                                      perimeter = (pi)(radius) + diameter
Substituting the known values,
                                      perimeter = (3.14)(6 cm) + 12 cm
The value of the perimeter is,
                                      perimeter = 30.84 cm
