-2 over 3 (-2/3)

When looking for the slope of a graph, you wanna use a process called “rise over run”.
It’s simple because you’re using information given to you by the graph!

Choose two points, I chose (-2,4) & (1,2)
Now use [rise/run]
RISE is the number of how much the graph rises vertically from the point farthest to the left to the point farthest to the right.
RUN is the number of how much you will travel from left to right, from one point to the other.
For this problem, we’re going down instead of up, so the rise will be negative. (-2)
For our run, we traveled 3 units to the right, so the run will remain positive. (3)

If the rise went up (positive), the sign would be positive (+)
If the run went to the left (negatively), the sign would be negative (-)

I really hope this helps!! If you have any doubts or questions please let me know!! :)

Afina-wow [57]

The system of equations are:

$12p + $3a = $258

a - p = 6

Where:

 • a = phone accessories
 • p = phone

What are the system of equations?

Two linear equations would be derived from the question. The linear equations would be a function of the phones and accessories sold. These equations are known as simultaneous equations and they would have to be solved together in order to determine the required values.
