110 degrees (8x+30) x=
Travka [436]

Answer: x = 17.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Simplifying

8x + -30 = 110

Reorder the terms:

-30 + 8x = 110

Solving:

-30 + 8x = 110

Solving for variable 'x'.

Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right.

Add '30' to each side of the equation.

-30 + 30 + 8x = 110 + 30

Combine like terms: -30 + 30 = 0

0 + 8x = 110 + 30

8x = 110 + 30

Combine like terms: 110 + 30 = 140

8x = 140

Divide each side by '8'.

x = 17.5

Simplifying

x = 17.5

I don't understand how to do this
Elena-2011 [213]
First, since both of the equations are equal to y you can set the equations equal to each other.
y=-2x +1
y=-2x^2 + 3x +1

-2x + 1= -2x^2 + 3x + 1

Second, add 2x^2 and subtract 3x and 1 from both sides.
-2x + 1   = -2x^2 + 3x + 1
-3x -1  +2x^2 +2x^2  -3x -1
________________
2x^2 - 5x = 0

Third, factor out an x.
x(2x - 5) = 0

Fourth, solve for x by setting each factor equal to 0.

x= 0   2x-5=0
               +5  +5
          _______
          2x = 5
         ----   ----
           2     2
         ________
          x=5/2

So the values of x that satisfy the system of equations is 0 and 5/2.

Does the equation Axequalsb have a solution for each b in set of real numbers RSuperscript 4? A. No, because A has a pivot pos
Elanso [62]

Answer:

C. Yes, because A does not have a pivot position in every row.

Step-by-step explanation:

The pivot position in the matrix is determined by entries in non zero rows. The pivot position may be in the row or a column. By Invertible Matrix Theorem the equation Axequalsb has non trivial solution. A has fewer pivot positions therefore A is not invertible. Ax will map RSuperscript into real numbers for n times. A has pivot position if left parenthesis bold x right parenthesis.
