Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

First you have to calculate CB in order to use sin law to calculate ∠A

CB=\sqrt{18.4^{2} -13.2^{2} }

CB=12.8(correct to nearest tenth)

After that, use sin law to calculate ∠A,

\frac{18.4}{sin90} =\frac{12.8}{sinA}       or    \frac{sin90}{18.4} =\frac{sinA}{12.8}

sinA=0.695...

A=44.079...

  =44.1(corrext to the nearest tenth)

Is that clear enough for you?

If x² + xy – 3y = 3, then at the point (2, 1), dy/dx
Scilla [17]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

We have the equation:

x^2+xy-3y=3

Take the derivative of both sides with respect to x:

\frac{d}{dx}[x^2+xy-3y]=\frac{d}{dx}[3]

Implicitly differentiate:

2x+y+x\frac{dy}{dx}-3\frac{dy}{dx}=0

Solve for dy/dx:

\frac{dy}{dx}(x-3)=-2x-y\\

Divide:

\frac{dy}{dx}=-\frac{2x+y}{x-3}

To find dy/dx at (2, 1), substitute 2 for x and 1 for y. So:

\frac{dy}{dx}_{(2, 1)}=-\frac{2(2)+1}{2-3}=-\frac{5}{-1}=5

Hence, our answer is A.

A
insens350 [35]

To start, the equation has to be converted to slope-intercept form, or y=mx+b. Start by subtracting x from both sides; x-x+2y=4, 2y=4-x. Switch 4 and -x around to conform to the formula; 2y=-x+4. Then divide by 2 to isolate y; y=-\frac{1}{2}x+2. This is the final equation. Because the slope of a line perpendicular is always the opposite reciprocal (i.e. The opposite reciprocal of 4 is -\frac{1}{4}, the opposite reciprocal of -\frac{1}{5} is 5) the opposite reciprocal of -\frac{1}{2}  is 2. So the equation of the line is y=2x, and the answer is A.

The perimeter of the triangle is 15.7 inches, so the equation to solve is 2a + b = 15.7.
zheka24 [161]

Answer:

a=7.85-1/2^b

Step-by-step explanation:

2a=15.7-b Move variable to the right side and change its sign

2a=15.7-b Divide both sides of the equation by 2

a=7.85-1/2^b The final solution for a is
