Answer:

For the Venn Diagram

1 - definite shape (E)

2 - definite volume (B)

3 - definite mass (A)

4 - takes the shape of the container (F)

5 - indefinite volume (D)

For the questions

1 - A - definite mass

2 - B - definite volume

3 - F - takes the shape of a container

4 - E - definite shape

5 - D - Indefinite volume

Explanation:

Definite - Specific

Indefinite - cant be determined

Remember (this is probably the most important note)

ALL MATTER HAS MASS!

A solid is the only state of matter that has a specific (definite) shape

Liquids and gases do not have specific shapes but they can take the shape of containers. Examples would be a glass of water or even just a water bottle full of air

Gas has an indefinite volume. As you can see in the image below gas molecules looser than liquid and solid molecules therefore it does not have a specific volume.

Liquids and solids have definite volumes as they can be easily measured

What does it mean that a predisposition is recessive?
polet [3.4K]

Answer:

A genetic predisposition (sometimes also called genetic susceptibility) is an increased likelihood of developing a particular disease based on a person's genetic makeup. A genetic predisposition results from specific genetic variations that are often inherited from a parent. These genetic changes contribute to the development of a disease but do not directly cause it. Some people with a predisposing genetic variation will never get the disease while others will, even within the same family.
