Answer:

$150

Step-by-step explanation:

Well, lets see. I'm no expert but I'm in Advanced Math 7th Grade so I could possibly help.

We have to figure out how much each person is getting per hour for part a.

We can use this formula:

James: 102/12= 10

Julie: 120/15= 8

I really have no clue so my guess would be this.

Using a table: We can figure out how much James would get for a 15 hours based on getting 102 for 12.

  1. We know he gets $10 for 1 hour
  2. So all you have to do it multiply 10 by 15.
  3. That is 150.

Therefore according to my 7th grade brain the answer is $150 for doing 15 hours of yard work for James.

I hope this helped!

Find the missing value for log4 9- log4 11= log 4 [ ]
Alexandra [31]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi there,

To get started, recall the logarithm rules. For this question, we can use the log rule specifically when subtracting two log functions that have the same base:

log_b\alpha -log_b\beta =log_b[\frac{\alpha }{\beta } ]

In this prompt, our base is 4, so b in the above formula. Using this formula, we can find the missing <u><em>argument</em></u> (the number inside of the log, what we are asked to solve for):

log_49-log_411=log_4[\frac{9}{11} ]\\   hence the missing argument is 9/11

At this point, there is no easier say to simplify, unless you wish to approximate  9/11 as 0.818. If you wish to solve for the exponent, you will have to use common log or natural log to do so.

If you liked this solution, leave a Thanks or give a rating!

thanks,
