Answer:

They proceeded to arrest immigrants, and deny them court proceedings. Those who spoke out against the war would get heavily fined and possibly jail sentences up to 20 years. The freedom of speech and the right to protest was being stopped. Because of this Congress enacted 2 Acts. Espionage and Sedition Acts

Which detail or quote from the story helps show that Benjamin Franklin regretted disappointing his father?
trapecia [35]

Answer:

C.

Explanation:

He's hanging his head, most likely and commonly seen as a sign of shame. He then proceeds to say (as I assume) that whatever the action was that he did, he did for someone, to help or protect them.

A. Is the second most reasonable answer in my opinion, as the fact that whatever the conversation was stuck with him for so long is a probable sign that there was some form of lingering regret or shame attached to it.

Can someone please write a strong thesis statement over the causes and effects of the Vietnam War. Thank you.
Zina [86]

The Vietnam War was caused by the difference in opinions from North Vietnam and South Vietnam in regards to communism. The US Government's  became an ally of South Vietnam in 'fear' of the Domino Effect. They feared that if one country fell to communism it was likely that they neighbouring one would also fall which is the reason the american government so kindly decided to take the matter into their own hands and took the war to a whole other level for the sake of what they believed was the best way.

The Vietnam War had a profound effect on American society as it changed the way we viewed our government, patriotism, the media and our constitutional rights. This war aside from millions of deaths left us with a sour taste as it raised awareness of how media play can really twist an event to the point of making us believe our government has everyone's best interest at heart while its the complete opposite.

Hope this helps!
