<u>A</u><u>n</u><u>s</u><u>w</u><u>e</u><u>r</u><u>:</u><u> </u>

The cost of screen for window = 864.

<u>S</u><u>t</u><u>e</u><u>p</u><u>-</u><u>b</u><u>y</u><u>-</u><u>s</u><u>t</u><u>e</u><u>p</u><u> </u><u>e</u><u>x</u><u>p</u><u>l</u><u>a</u><u>n</u><u>a</u><u>t</u><u>i</u><u>o</u><u>n</u><u>:</u>

We have,

  • A rectangular window of length = 3ft and breadth 2 ft.

Fir solving,

  • As the answers should be in sqaure inches let us first convert ft in inches.
  • Then, we will find the area of window and as the cost of screen is same as that of area,we will find it.

★<u>C</u><u>o</u><u>n</u><u>v</u><u>e</u><u>r</u><u>s</u><u>i</u><u>o</u><u>n</u><u> </u><u>f</u><u>r</u><u>o</u><u>m</u><u> </u><u>f</u><u>t</u><u> </u><u>t</u><u>o</u><u> </u><u>i</u><u>n</u><u>c</u><u>h</u><u>e</u><u>s</u><u>:</u>

We kow that,

  • 1 foot = 12 inches

Taking this in mind, convert the values

= Length = 3 ft

= Length = 3 × 12

= Length = 36 inchees

= Breadth = 2ft

= Breadth = 2 × 12

= Breadth = 24 inches

<u>★</u><u>Area</u><u> </u><u>of</u><u> </u><u>window</u><u>:</u>

We know that,

= Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

= Area = 36 × 24

= Area = 864 inches²

As, area of window in square inches equal to cost of the screen.

<u>Therfore</u><u>,</u><u> </u><u>cost</u><u> </u><u>of</u><u> </u><u>screen</u><u> </u><u>would</u><u> </u><u>be</u><u> </u><u>8</u><u>6</u><u>4</u><u>.</u>

Answer:

x + 4y

Step-by-step explanation:

(x∧2+8xy+16y∧2)∧(1/3) · (x+4y)∧(1/3) = ((x+4y)∧2 · (x+4y))∧(1/3) = ((x+4y)∧3)∧(1/3)=

= (x+4y)∧(3/3) = x+4y

Good luck!!!

3x+9y=75<br>8x+5y=67 <br>what is x and y?
slava [35]

There are many ways to solve simultaneous linear equations. One of my favorite for finding integer solutions is graphing. The attached graph shows the solution to be ...

... (x, y) = (4, 7)

_____

You can also use Cramer's Rule, or the Vedic math variation of it, which tells you the solution to

ax+by=c\\dx+ey=f

is given by

x=\dfrac{bf-ec}{\Delta}\\\\y=\dfrac{cd-fa}{\Delta}\qquad\text{where $\Delta=bd-ea$}

Here, that means

... x = (9·67-5·75)/(9·8-5·3) = 228/57 = 4

... y = (75·8-67·3)/57 = 399/57 = 7

_____

A (graphing) calculator greatly facilitates either of these approaches.
