joanne cannot decide which of two washing machines to buy. The selling price of each is $660. The first is marked down by 40%.

The second is marked down by 30% with an additional 10% off. Find the sale price of each washing machine. Use pencil and paper. Explain why joanne should buy the first washing machine rather than the second if the machines are the same except for the selling price.

Answer: The first machine would cost $420

and the second machine would cost $432

you should buy the first machine

Step-by-step explanation:If you get a 30% discount, then you are paying 70% of the selling price.

Machine 1: 600(.70) = 420

Machine 2: A 10% discount means you pay 90%

600(.90) = 540 But now you get a 20% discount on that amount, which means you would pay 80%

So, 540(.80) = 432

The temperature, T , of a given mass of gas varies inversely with its volume, V . The temperature of a certain gas with volume o
alekssr [168]
We know that

if the temperature T of a given mass of gas varies inversely with its volume V
then
T=k/V

Step 1
Find the value of k
for T=30º C and V=105 cm³
we have
T=k/V--------> k=T*V--------> k=30*105=3150 °C*cm³

therefore
for V=84 cm³
T=3150/84=37.5 °C

the answer is 37.5 °C

find the area of a right angle triangle whose hypotenuse is 13 cm long and one of its legs is 12 cm long
Lelu [443]

Answer:

30 cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

a = 13 cm

b = 12 cm

using Pythagorean theorem:

a^2 = b^2 + c^2

--> c^2 = a^2 - b^2 = 13^2 - 12^2 = 169 - 144 = 25

--> c = √25 = 5

The area of that right triangle is:

S = b.c / 2 = 12 . 5 / 2 = 30 (cm^2)

The volume of a cone is 62.8 cubic inches. The height of the cone is 15 inches. What is the radius of the cone, rounded to the n
Setler79 [48]
R = sqrt 3 * (V /( pi * h))
V = 62.8
pi = 3.14
h = 15
now we sub
R = sqrt 3 * (62.8 / (3.14 * 15)
R = sqrt 3 * (62.6 / 47.1)
R = sqrt 3 * 1.33
R = sqrt 3.99
R = 1.9 rounds to 2 inches <===

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

$19.50

$15.50-$8=$7.50

Now you have 3 slices of pizza left

$7.50/3slices=$2.50

1slice of pizza is $2.50
