The second is marked down by 30% with an additional 10% off. Find the sale price of each washing machine. Use pencil and paper. Explain why joanne should buy the first washing machine rather than the second if the machines are the same except for the selling price.

Answer: The first machine would cost $420

and the second machine would cost $432

you should buy the first machine

Step-by-step explanation:If you get a 30% discount, then you are paying 70% of the selling price.

Machine 1:  600(.70) = 420

Machine 2:  A 10% discount means you pay 90%

600(.90) = 540   But now you get a 20% discount on that amount, which means you would pay 80%

So, 540(.80) = 432

Factor 125x3 + 343y3
Annette [7]

Answer:

(5x + 7y)(25x² - 35xy + 49y²)

Step-by-step explanation:

125x³ + 343y³ ← is a sum of cubes and factors in general as

a³ + b³ = (a + b)(a² - ab + b² )

125x³ = (5x)³ ⇒ a = 5x

343y³ = (7y)³ ⇒ b = 7y

125x³ + 343y³

= (5x + 7y)((5x)² - (5x × 7y) + (7y)²)

= (5x + 7y)(25x² - 35xy + 49y²) ← in factored form

List three different combinations of coins, each with a value of 30% of a dollar
ipn [44]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

30% of a dollar...

0.30(1) = 0.30.....so 30% of a dollar is 30 cents

1 quarter and 1 nickel = 0.30

3 dimes = 0.30

2 dimes and 2 nickels = 0.30

6 nickels = 0.30

3 nickels, 1 dime, 5 pennies = 0.30

10 pennies, 2 nickels, a dime = 0.30

30 pennies = 0.30
