The H* Chi Minh Trail was important to the North Vietnamese and the NLF because the trail was a route to move goods to allies in South Vietnam.
The north Vietnamese was able to control this territory and set up their guirella army in H*Chhimin. Which led to their victory in the vietnam war.

Containment during the Cold War was used to stop the spread of Communism, and had different strategies with it. Three different strategies for Containment were Isolationism, Détente, and the last was the Rollback stragety. All were used to help CONTAIN commmunism from influencing in Eastern Europe, China, Korea, Africa, Vietnam, and Latin America.
It united the colonies of Upper Canada and Lower Canada under one government, creating the Province of Canada.
