I usually spend my time on checking my project or to make it more relevant.

Explanation:

It is always a good thing to complete your task before the deadline because finishing your task before the time limit actually gives you more confidence.  

Also, in the spare time you can read or check out what on points you need to work more and what the other statements (points) you can add to create your project more relevant. I usually spend my time after on these things once i complete my project or task before time.
